Trama Ensemble is a vocal trio based in Berlin, founded in 2025 by Ana Isabel Navarro, Laura Barchetti, and Irene Mira Sánchez—three classically trained singers who met while singing together in the Noonsong series of Sirventes Berlin. Their musical affinity, which developed within this context, led to the creation of a project dedicated to vocal intimacy, individuality, and collective expression. At its core, Trama Ensemble consists of three a cappella voices, but the group also collaborates with additional singers or instrumentalists when the repertoire calls for broader sonic colors or structures.

Their artistic focus spans both early music and contemporary music—two fields that allow them to move between historically informed performance practice and the exploration of new sonic languages. The name Trama, Latin for “weave,” embodies the ensemble’s artistic philosophy: intertwining three distinct musical identities into a single sound world. The singers highlight the strength of their individual timbres—shaped by different training paths and traditions—while simultaneously seeking a shared expression through attentive listening and collective interpretation. Metaphors such as braids or the branches of a tree growing from the same root reflect their commitment to ensemble work that preserves personal essence while embracing interconnectivity. Driven by the desire to return to the original emotional impulses of music, Trama Ensemble approaches each program with curiosity, sensitivity, and a strong sense of artistic storytelling. The trio develops a range of repertoires and projects that reflect a dynamic and continually evolving musical vision.
